I do Bidoo is indeed a surprise. Chris Martinez, the director, weaves the songs of APO and created a genius movie. The people who have seen it unanimously loved it, because the songs brought the nostalgia and the class back to Philippine cinema.

My personal favorite in the movie are Ewan, Nakapagtataka and the final song, Pagibig. They also paid attention to smaller stories like the love stories of the parents and Sam Concepcion's friend. I also love the homages to songs like Kabilugan ng Buwan ( during the last part) and Kumot and Unan ( during the phone conversation).

I have waited a long time for this movie, something to be proud of, a musical that doesn't end crappy, a comedy that makes you laugh and even drama that thugs the heart. This is a must see for all Filipinos.

In "Ekstra"/The Bit Player viewers get a chance to understand the complicated world of television through cinema. The film is authentic to the core as coming from television background has helped its director Jeffrey Jeturian to make a film about extras of a popular TV show. One can sense a lot of authenticity as Jeffrey Jeturian has already experienced what he has portrayed in his film. For viewers who have a little idea about Filipino film industry, it needs to be stated that this film's star attraction Ms.Vilma Santos acts in one of the most deglamorized roles of her career. In many ways, this enables her to have a direct experience of the problems faced by junior actors who use all their energy to land a small role. Most laughs in "The bit player" are generated when viewers get a chance to watch what really happens during the shooting of a TV serial. Director Jeffrey Jeturian takes viewers on a hilarious behind the scenes ride where one watches with dismay how junior artists are lodged, kind of food they are provided, conditions in which they work and how weather can sometimes spoil all good plans. At the end of this ride, it is made clear that television is not a joke and a lot of hard work needs to be put both by actors as well as technicians in order to create shows which are loved by millions in a country. Lastly, it is said that ideas are important when there is shortage of finance. This assertion has been proved true with the inclusion of an ordinary cake to represent a large cake.

I enjoyed watching the movie.. i cant believe that this movie didn't become the best film, but at least they become 2nd runner up, that means most of the people here in the Philippines enjoyed this film because it's about Emilio Aguinaldo (the first president here in the Philippines), i cannot say anymore about this film but I'm gonna tell this that this movie is worth watching and you will learn more about the life history of Emilio Aguinaldo and how he became a president. I rate this movie 7.2/10 because this film means something rather than the other films in the 38th Metro Manila Film Festival.

This movie is awesome/great! and i recommend it to people who haven't watched this film yet! El Presidente!!

When I first viewed this film, I threw all of my expectations in the back seat, assuming that it would possibly turn out to be another of those mushy Filipino romantic films that would just make me cringe. However, the B rating (considered excellent) given to it by the Film Ratings Board spurred me into rushing into the movie theater to figure out what was causing all the acclaim. Interestingly, I came out of the movie not only pleasantly surprised, but also awe-struck with the beauty of the film. From the performances of Muhlach and Salonga (their best acting to date - Muhlach won Best Actor awards in this film), to the story line (grandslam screenplay awardee), cinematography, editing, soundtrack and so forth. Everything was crafted seamlessly and masterfully. I was left breathless and impressed. It deserved to win the Best Picture Award from the URIAN (Critics Awards). This was one of those rare films that were both successful commercially and critically. Has potential to go down in Philippine Cinema history as a film classic. Kudos to Olivia Lamasan for directing such an exemplary movie!

Plot Summary:

Vincent got his girlfriend Lally pregnant while they were still in college. I saw this six years ago, and it was one of my favorite films of that time. I watched it over and over and over, and the songs I loved a lot. It was like a mini-semi musical, and the story line was really funny and cute. Overall, I think, that what I remember the most about this movie was that there was an underlying message of when you follow your dreams, it might take you to the most random places in the world, and it might take you through some really strange adventures, but in the end, you'll know it was the right way to go because you are who you've always wanted to be, or you have no regrets. Its a really sweet movie, plus, it has a striking combination of an actress, Mikee C. with two superstar singers, Regine Velasquez and Donna Cruz, which was really cool.

Recently, Philippines has been producing very cheesy films with original concepts coming for song titles. "Bakit Hindi ka crush ng crush mo" strayed away from this herd of genre and brought an original romantic movie that's based on a book by sir Ramon Bautista. It focuses on this strange and broken hearted girl name Sandy (Kim Chiu) and her quest to realize why her lover isn't into her. Alex, portrayed by Xian Lim, brings the sweetness factor into the movie, while Kim really makes the humor rise. The chemistry between these two actors are inevitably so admirable that it shone with their roles. As you watch the movie, you can't help but want them to just make out, but their on screen relationship makes you scrunch your face because they love to tease their cute moments to the audience. Overall, this movie is very well played and directed. In fact, I've caught myself unconsciously watching this two times! It'll truly put a big wide smile on your face and will leave you feeling giggly hours after you've seen it. I wasn't a Kim or Xian fan, but now I can't get enough of them after this movie.

 A gathering of love teams from the young children (Jomar and Ayie) to the 40 year old virgin Virgie. This has drama, comedy and romance, compacted to 2 hours or so. The main story is that of Jane, who is trying to win a ticket to her idol, Billy Fernandez's concert. The movie took time to introduce the stars and managed to give time to all the characters. Although the movie was fast paced, the stories are well spaced and there are no feeling that one story is compromised for the others. The story of a mentally challenged man (Piolo Pascual) has the best arc. His story is light with the two kids playing the romantic leads but also attempts to define love as letting go. The other stories like a girl (Bea Alonzo) falling for her gay friend (Zanjo del Mundo) or a girl falling for a waiter (Cruz and Panganiban) feels forced, taking advantage of the popularity of the love teams at the time the movie was made.

Obviously, if you are fans of the stars like Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson, this will e twice you. If not, this is a passable light romantic drama, with a feel good ending.

This is a very heart-warming, not to mention sexy, family drama. Well, what have we got? 2 very pretty and sexy leading ladies plus a veteran leading actor plus a seasoned director equals a timely story where a lot of people can relate to. And that's what I like about the movie, its not unrealistic and far-fetched. Its something that happens in ordinary lives.

The core of the story is about infidelity. Emman (Gabby Concepcion) is a family man-- the perfect husband to his wife Audrey (Alice Dixon) and the perfect father to their daughter, Jenny (Andy Eigenmann). Audrey tries to be the perfect wife but no matter how good her intentions are, her husband feels neglected and somehow lost the "spark". And here's where Cassie (Cristine Reyes), who's half Emman's age, enters the picture to change all of their lives.

 This movie is "awesome!" Don't be fooled by the title, it seems boring at first, but when you've done watching the movie, it's worth it! The movie is all about an ordinary girl who gets to meet the prince charming of her life or what they call it, 'dreamboy'. She meets this three different boy of her dreams and in the end she has to pick one of course.

Anyway, I don't want to spoil the movie for you guys out there. Here's just an advice I think you should bring with you: Be sure to watch everything closely, you don't know what you might miss!:) Enjoy! And I hope you get to see the boy of your dreams someday:)

I really like the movie. It's so great. It's somehow realistic. The story and the dialogues are so real and so touching. I was also able to relate to the story because my bestfriend is also in-love with me. Though she did not say it directly to me but I can sense it. The movie is really an eye-opener for best friends out there or for those who have a best friend of the opposite sex.

The scenes were also great and they captured the beauty of Bohol, Dumaguete, and Davao. Silliman University, the first American university in the Philippines was also captured. Kudos to Bea, John Lloyd, Sam, and to the rest of the cast and to Director Cathy and to the staff.

Congrats once again and thank you. We really enjoyed the film.
